Orbs - Chapter 7

There's a bit of action in this chapter. And a really, really cool cliffhanger. Muahahaha!

Chapter 7

"So," said Amethyst, walking down the rope bridge to my treehouse. "What do you think of the spy sphere?"

We were on our way back from the Big Scoop after our meeting with Breeze, and this was the first time we had been able to speak about the sorcery lesson earlier in the day.

"I think the thing we saw in my treehouse last week was one of them. After all, what else could it be?" I said.

Am shrugged. "I don't know. A UFO?"

"Yeah, that would be cool. Much cooler than the idea of wizards spying on us."

"Unless the aliens were sent by the wizards," Am pointed out. "Y'know, to save energy."

When we reached the door, I noticed a note stuck to the front. Amethyst grabbed it and read it out loud.

"'There's a meeting in Pawthorne Forest at midnight. See you there. -The Sorcerers'," Am glanced up to me. "Why didn't they tell us about this earlier?"

"Maybe something happened," I said.

"I don't know. It just seems strange."

"Let's go, though. It would be embarrassing to turn up to the next meet and have them asking why we weren't there," I said.

"I guess so. Anyway, I ordered the pizzas, and I'm thinking they'll arrive soon."

I opened the door. "Okeydokey. But did you remember to tell them that I don't want carrots on my pizza?"

"Yes, Em," said Am, rolling her eyes and coming into my treehouse. In her hand was the note from the door, which she put on a nearby table. Some little voice was nagging on in the back of my head that something bad might happen. I guess we would just have to see when it came around to midnight.

After munching down my carrot-free pizza, I played video games with Am, checking the clock every few minutes to see how long it was until midnight.

"You really have to stop doing that," said Am, dropping her controller after she won yet another game.

"Doing what?" I asked.

"Checking the clock. It's annoying, and you're continuosly losing to me. Winning gets boring after a while."

I sighed. "Sorry, Am. I'm just nervous. There's only twenty minutes to go until midnight."

"Twenty?" Am's eyes widened. "We should set off, then. It will take a while to walk there."

Amethyst and I trudged on down below the leafy canopy. The refreshing scent of trees and wet grass hung around in the air and my feet were already aching.

"What's the time?" Am asked me.

I looked down at my watch, then back up to the thick forest around me. "Two minutes to midnight."

Am picked a berry off a nearby bush. "It would've been better if Kite or whoever it was had written down exactly where to meet up."

"That's what I'm thinking too," I said, before coming to a stop. "Wait, is that berry poisonous or something?"

Amethyst looked down at it. "Probably."

She flicked it off into the trees and we continued on down the muddy path. Branches clung to my jumper, and sometimes I couldn't help but mistake them for arms.

"Pawthorne forest is a nice place by day, but seriously creepy by night," said Am, pushing a plant out of her way.

I was about to agree with her, when I spotted a light up ahead. "Am! That must be them!"

We sped up and burst into a well-lit clearing. Darkly-clad pandas stood around in a circle, and I could tell at first glance that these were no sorcerers.

"Welcome," said the one in the middle of the clearing. "Now, we'd like very much to talk to you right now, but sadly there's no time. The talking will have to wait."

"Are you wizards?" Amethyst asked bravely as one of the pandas came towards us. Personally, I was too scared to even move.

The 'leader' of this group smiled, revealing menacingly sharp teeth. "Yes, we're wizards. And I'm the famous Ormzusk! But I don't do autographs, sorry."

And that was the last thing I heard before the panda whispered a quick spell and I fell to the ground unconscious. This was, I guess you could say, a bad day.

Orbs - Chapter 6

Sorry about the long wait - I've been busy doing some other writing thing called NaNoWriMo. It's where you have to write a whole story in one month (November). But I had already written half of this chapter and so decided to complete and publish it. In December and the months following the chapters will be published more often. I promise!

Orbs - Chapter 6

"So," said Moat, focusing on her blue orb. "The next thing to do is to imagine a burst of light coming out from your orb and morph it into a ball. Imagine this light turning into water, then throw it at any nearby grumpy pandas."

I watched as the waterball splashed into Tree. He spun around with an enraged look in his eyes, enough to make me wonder whether or not he would throw one back.

"Bad aim," said Octave nonchalantly, glancing up from her book of potion recipes. "You went a bit off to the side."

Gloom, who was sitting on the parlor sofa, rolled her eyes. "Water is harmless. Why not teach them how to create fireballs? Or spy on enemies?"

"Creating spy spheres is way too hard. We would need multiple people for that," said Octave.

I tensed up, remembering the strange sphere of light that had hovered beside the window in my treehouse a few days before.

"What are spy spheres?" I asked them.

"Oh, they're like balls of light, really. They hover around and collect information from your enemies," said Moat. "We haven't done one since Cerulean and Centaur were kidnapped. Keeping a spy sphere up and working takes many sorcerers, and we just don't have the numbers. Now we do, because you two have joined."

She smiled, but I didn't reply. My mind was too busy swirling about with this information. The wizards were spying on us. They even saw us! Before then, I had thought of the wizards as some sort of faraway enemy, only coming over for the occasional battle. But this brought it all to home. We could be being watched at that moment and not know it.

"You look pale," said Octave, suddenly suspicious. "Have you seen one of these before?"

I shook my head, the lie falling easily off my tongue. "No. They just seem interesting."

"Yeah, maybe we could make one of those to go and see where Centaur and Cerulean are being kept!" said Amethyst, stepping up to help me.

"Good idea," said Gloom, peering at a nearby cobweb in deep thought. "We should try that sometime."

I was shocked at her emotion, and stared after her as she walked away. This wasn't the dark, mysterious Gloom I thought I knew. This one seemed more fragile.

"Cerulean was her best friend. They were like sisters," Moat said, leaning over to whisper in my ear. "Gloom wasn't so sad before Cerulean was kidnapped. I think it's given her hope to see more sorcerers joining."

I nodded, but before I could speak, Amethyst said, "What's next?"

Three hours later and I was beyond exhausted. All of this magic and all of this learning drained my energy and left me feeling unable to even think straight. I was glad when Moat told us to go and relax and have an ice-cream at the Big Scoop, and Amethyst and I headed over there as quickly as we could.

"Phew," said Amethyst as she finished giving McWiggles her order. "That was tough."

"Tell me about it," I sighed, leaning up against the counter.

McWiggles gave us our ice-creams and we thanked him. Amethyst made her way over to a table and I followed.

As I sat down, Amethyst started speaking.

"Gosh, Emerald, we'll have to do that every Tuesday!"

I grinned, but it wasn't a happy grin. It was more of a frown. "We will cope."

"Yeah, I guess," she said, pausing for a moment. "And what about those spy spheres! The wizards must've been watching us."

"It creeps me out," I said.

"That's an understatement."

We didn't speak whilst we ate our ice-creams, and just cooled off. It had been a hard day, full of anxiety, excitement and exhaustion, and it was great to be able to wind down.

"Hey, how are you today?"

I looked up and saw a panda walk into the room. He seemed graceful and at ease, oozing calmness.

"Do I know you?" I asked him.

"I'm Kite's brother, Breeze. She told me about you two," he said, smiling warmly. Breeze reminded me of his sister.

"So are you... a sorcerer too?" said Amethyst, whispering the last part.

He shook his head, sitting down at our table. "Nah. That stuff is way too stressful for me. I'd be bound to get gray hairs!" he laughed. "But I admire what you guys do. It's really great that you work so hard trying to protect Pandanda."

Breeze seemed sincere, so I knew he wasn't a threat.

"So does Kite know you're here?" I said. "She's down at HQ, and could probably come and see you and have ice-creams with us."

"No, she doesn't know I'm here," Breeze said. "But Kite must be busy being leader, so I'll talk to her some other time."

Amethyst glanced at her watch. "Hey, sorry Breeze, but Emerald and I really need to go. But I have one question. How did you recognise us?"

My heart started beating faster as I realised what she was getting at. Somehow Breeze had recognised us, even though he had never seen us before. What if he were a wizard and had seen that spy sphere...

Breeze laughed, and pointed to the orbs on the table. We had left them carelessly in view! Any normal panda could've seen them.

"Kite told me about you, too. From her description, I realised who you must be," he said.

I smiled and stood up. "See you, then."

"Bye, Breeze," said Amethyst.

"Bye you two! Tell Kite I said hi!"

We waved goodbye and left the Big Scoop. Amethyst and I walked to my house, where we had decided to eat pizzas and have a sleepover.

It was going to be a much needed break. Next week, I could only hope that things would be easier.

Updates.

Ipandanda doesn't work. (ANGRY EMOTE!) and the login looks... yeah, anyway. So, to the delight of PandaSpace, don't bother with Ipandanda.

Pandanda have changed the closing message!
If you don't believe me, go to pandanda.com!

Ok, let me explain it. I will put the important words in bold/italic.

"... we have currently had to suspend pandanda..." So, they needed at the moment to stop pandanda.
"... due to financial reasons we must put development on hold" development. So now, it sounds like they could keep pandanda open, but they can't keep developing it RIGHT NOW.
"Notices of any future Pandanda development and projects will be listed here on Pandanda's official website." Notices. That's interesting. So this is where I think they are just posting this because of Ipandanda. (so people don't think Ipandanda is run by sunleaf studios) Projects. That is SUPER interesting. it could mean 3 things. #1 is that they are making a new thing entirely. (e.g. a phone app, BLEH.) #2 is that again, they are trying to make sure people don't think Ipandanda is like the new pandanda made by henry/sunleaf studios, and getting some kid's hopes up then BURNING THEM along the way. #3 is Pandanda is going to open again, but differently? I doubt it.

The fact is, some people think pandanda is just closing for a while so they can earn more money. But remember, when it opens again, we wont have our pandas. THEY DELETED OUR PANDAS!

Oh, and just so you can get an idea of how hard it would be to run pandanda:
Think of your panda/s.
How many clothes, furniture, and items do they have.
Each item is a line of code. I don't know much about code, but it's probably something like: itemid 123, but with the item id instead of 123.
then, think of how many pandas there are at a time online.
the servers Sunleaf Studios run host all the code for pandanda, (a lot of code!) plus every single panda and their item database. Quests wouldn't help either. but anyway, every split second they would need to send all that information out to your computer.

Think of the internet bills they would get! And the power bills!

and let's not forget henry (Derrek Creech. Oh come on, it's no big secret.) runs Purple Buttons.

I have been typing for too long...

Henry's Goodbye

Some people were sad...

And others were thankful...
Henry talked for a very long time, so I've decided not to upload everything. Here's some stuff, though:

Misty asked a couple of questions (I'll have to ask her what they were):

But Pandaspace will probably stay open:
But we all need to listen to what Henry and the other person say next.

Those two are my favorite images, because they have the best advice. Pandanda is gone, but we will stay strong and move on. Our memories will be in our minds forever, and we will cherish them. But for now we need to talk to other pandas on PandaSpace, find out where to see some of our best friends, and then join some other virtual worlds. I know that I'm definitely going to go back to Club Penguin, since I have a lot of history and friends there, but there are many other great places to go.

Deep in my heart, I still think Pandanda was the best virtual world there ever was, and I don't think I'll ever disagree with that. But we need to look around and find the second best world, and go there. However, I will never forget my past. I spent three years of my life dedicated to Pandanda, and while it's sad to see it go, I know that other places like Club Penguin are nearly as good. So go there and find Blue Is Good, and we can share our Pandanda memories. The economy can take Pandanda away from us physically, but not mentally. We will always be Pandanda pandas at heart.

Orbs - Chapter 5

Hello there! Earlier today I decided to plan this story out, and so I now know that it will be around about 17 chapters long and will finish just before Christmas... hopefully. I'm really bad with deadlines though, so expect it to finish some time around the end of this year. Thank you for reading Orbs!

Orbs - Chapter 5

- 8:29 am, Emerald's Treehouse, Pandanda -

Three days later, Amethyst and I were sitting on beanbags in my treehouse, reading a book.

To be specific, it wasn't just any book. It was covered with dark leather, 'Orbs' sewn onto the front in gold thread. The pages were yellowed, and the words that I used to know so well held a new meaning for me.

This book was written by my great-grandfather, about sorcerers and orbs, and I now knew that every single page was full of truth.

"Wow - look here, Emerald. It says that the wizards were still alive back then, and still as troublesome!" said my best friend Am, pointing vividly at a paragraph.

I smiled, remembering the storyline. "Yeah. Great-grandpa was part of the sorcerers group that took the evil wizard leader down. It was a huge success, they knew, but the last page of the book always kept me asking questions."

Amethyst flipped to the last page and read what was on it. "The wizards will hide, like they do, and then come back twice as strong. Now it is up to the next generations of sorcerers to continue saving Pandanda from the wizards wrath. Maybe one day the wizards will go for good, or maybe they will eventually defeat the sorcerers. I don't know. All I know is that for today at least, the world is safe'."

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Amethyst and I looked up. It was probably just a lost bee unable to get back home, so I nodded to Am, asking her silently to push it out of the window.

She stood up from her pink beanbag, setting Orbs down on the coffee table. Amethyst walked over to the window, her eyes widening slightly with every step she took.

"That's not a bee," she whispered to me. "Look."

I followed her and saw what she meant. There was a hovering sphere of yellow light bobbing up and down next to the open window. I instinctively reached for my orb, wondering whether I could manage to cast a spell to get it to go away.

Suddenly, as I thought this, I felt a rush of power flow through my veins. The sparkles in my green orb started moving around, floating like snow in a snow globe. The ball of light started flickering. I quickly whispered to Am to get her to do the same, and two seconds later the strange intruder had vanished.

"Wow," I said. "That was cool."

Amethyst's face was lit up with delight and awe. "No, it was way better than cool. That was... amazingly phenomenally awesome."

I nodded in agreement. "You couldn't have said it better."

We stood there for a moment until a knock came at the door. I walked over and opened it, spotting Kite outside.

"Hey, Kite! What's up?" I said, noting the concern on her face.

"Oh, so you're okay?" she asked me. "I had a feeling that something bad might've happened."

For a second I thought about telling her about the strange light, but something held me back. "No, it's just another lazy day like usual. Don't worry about us too much - the wizards haven't paid us a visit yet."

I meant it in a lighthearted way, but her frown just deepened even more. "Be careful, you two. I think the wizards see you as the weakest sorcerers there are. You're bound to be their biggest target."

And with that, she turned around and walked back along the bridge to the Lobby. Am and I stood there and watched her leave, before giving each other a meaningful look and going back to my great-grandfather's book.

It was clear that there were secrets being held back. I just hoped that they wouldn't bring us much danger.

- 8:29 am, Wizard HQ, Outside Pandanda -

"One minute left," said Ormzusk, glancing at his orb. "One minute left until the spy sphere reaches the targets."

"What's our double-agent doing at the moment?" asked his second-in-command.

"Eating a chocolate chip cookie, like usual," said the leader of the wizards. "Nothing out of the ordinary there."

The second-in-command laughed. "I still can't believe the rest of the hopeless sorcerers haven't figured out she's working for us yet."

"We have ways, my friend. Anyway, the spy sphere should be nearly there by now."

The second-in-command nodded seriously, looking over to where a huddle of about twenty wizards were casting the spell to keep it working. Their eyes were closed and some of them were mumbling words under their breaths. It was a hard spell to conjure, and even harder to destroy. Not even the entire group of sorcerers could knock it out of the sky.

His eyes focused on a larger orb, peering in at the distorted image of trees. This orb was connected to the spy sphere, and would show whatever the sphere saw. The plan was to follow the new sorcerer recruits around and pick up information. It was just like their double-agent, except less visible. And it didn't eat cookies.

Before he knew it, the sphere had entered the tree house through an open window. It hovered in the air for a bit, attracting the attention of one of the girls.

He watched on as they walked over cautiously, their eyes wide in fright. This was not the plan. They weren't supposed to notice it.

"That's not a bee," she said, her voice distorted as if she were speaking underwater. "Look."

The other girl, the one with the green orb, stood up and followed her friend. She took out her orb and stared intently at the sphere. Suddenly, the image flickered, like an old video. Everyone gasped, and the huddle of spell-casters started murmuring faster and faster. Beads of sweat rolled down their faces as they battled to keep the sphere afloat.

The girl with the green orb talked to the girl with the pink orb, and suddenly the image disappeared completely.

"NO!" said Ormzusk. "NO, NO, NO! This cannot be happening."

He walked over to the now bewildered spell-casters and glared at each and every one of them.

"Are you so terrible that you can't even withstand the force of two inexperienced sorcerers?" he shouted.

They looked like frightened rabbits, casting anxious glances to their neighbors.

One of them spoke up. "Those two are unbelievably powerful. Not even all of the wizards combined, including you, could've stopped them."

Ormzusk shook his head, a plan already forming in his mind's eye. "Then we will get them for ourselves."

Orbs - Chapter 4

Hi everyone! Don't worry - even if Pandanda is closing, Orbs will go on. I'm sorry about the huge wait for this chapter. I'm afraid that it's really short, but I have lots of great ideas for the future and I hope that you'll get a good feeling for the new characters in this chapter. We're getting into the really interesting stuff now!

Orbs - Chapter 4

We stared at each other, them at us and us at them. I only moved once in that minute to shuffle my feet. It was intensely embarrassing, not to mention scary. Were these people going to put us in a cauldron and make some strange potion? Were these people going to throw us out of the door? What were they going to do?

Our unofficial staring contest ended when one of the people spoke.

"I see you found the missing orbs."

I nodded, too petrified to mutter even a "yes".

Am was more courageous. "So... what do these orbs do?"

"Well, you probably know already that they are kind of like wands. The two you are holding are the last two in existence," the tallest panda said. "Not just anyone can be a sorcerer like us. But we think that you two are of our kind, and so that's why we created a trail of pineapples to lead you to the orbs. It's our kind of ritual. If the people find the orbs, then they are given invitations to join our group."

I expected them to hand out a bright pink party invitation, or maybe something black and spooky, but it was only a plain piece of folded paper. Amethyst stepped up to take it, but hesitated before it reached her paw.

"It sounded like there was a battle going on here earlier. Is it safe to be a sorcerer?" she asked.

The same panda spoke again. "Yes and no. But it's what we are, and we have to take the risks," she paused. "What you heard was a battle, and the wizards were trying to steal the orbs you're holding now, but we resisted and they went away without harming anything."

"Who are the wizards?" I asked as Amethyst brought the invitation over to where I was standing.

The panda, who I now presumed to be the leader, sighed. "They are run by a greedy panda. That panda, Ormzusk, wants to collect all of the orbs in Pandanda and then use them to take over the entire world. He must be stopped or else he will use the orbs to make the world a bad place," she turned and looked me in the eye. "Will you help us? Will you help us save the world?"

I glanced towards Amethyst. We both nodded at the same time. "We will help you."

"Great!" said the panda, obviously delighted. "Welcome to the team!"

For the next ten minutes, she went around and introduced us to the other seven pandas. She was called Kite, her grouchy second-in-command was Tree, the potion person - Trixie's sister - was Octave. Moat was a bubbly panda who wore silver designer sunglasses and Leaf was her equally bubbly sister. The remaining three, also known as 'the dark three', were Thorn, Black and Gloom.

"And so that's it," Kite said, taking a deep breath. "Our numbers are nothing compared to the wizards, but each of us has the power of five of Ormzusk's henchmen. And now we have two more! There are officially ten sorcerers!"

"Well, not counting Centaur and Cerulean," said Gloom, her moodiness a huge contrast to the leader's joyeous nature.

Kite went silent for a second, then looked towards Amethyst and I. "Centaur and Cerulean are being held captive by Ormzusk. It's part of why we are so dedicated to our mission."

I nodded understandingly while Amethyst yawned. "When are we going to get back home? I'm so tired I might fall asleep standing up."

Kite laughed. "You can leave whenever you want to. We always have meetings here every Tuesday night so be sure to come around next week. We will have your official welcoming ceremony then."

"Okay," I said, standing up. "So should we go back through the tunnel from where we came?"

"You don't need to. The door there leads to outside, which leads to Pawthorne Forest. Leaf can escort you to the path, and I'm guessing you can make your way from there."

I smiled, and looked towards Moat's sister. "We'll leave now."

Leaf's warm eyes blinked in acceptance and she walked towards the door. Amethyst followed her and I went at the back.

"Bye, guys!" I said, waving at the sorcerers. "See you next week!"

Leaf led the way through a fur-tingling, creepy cemetery and pointed to where a small path cut though some trees.

"It's just there," she said, her smile faltering for a millisecond. "Have a good week."

"Thanks," said Am, making her way down the trail.

I followed her, stopping a moment to go over what had happened that night. It was so mindbogglingly crazy that I felt kind of numb. I thought to myself, as I grinned at the thorny canopy above, that if a golden dragon suddenly appeared and came to take us away to some exotic land, I wouldn't be too surprised.

But that's what you get when you're suddenly invited into a group of sorcerers. It's so amazing that you can't really believe it.

The Private Server Idea.

Research time! Ok, So there used to be this thing called iPandanda. (Not the blog! it's different) It basically was a website, something that looked like pandanda on it. The owners of iPandanda got a hold of the files used to run pandanda. They even changed them a bit so you could get any item you wanted and use commands and that sort of stuff.

There are also several things like iPandanda, but downloads. It's risky downloading that sort of thing because they might have viruses, so DON'T TRY IT!

Then, I found this.

*BY CLICKING THIS LINK YOU LEAVE BAMBOO (unless you right click/open in new tab) AND THEREFORE ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK*

http://forum.ragezone.com/f111/pandanda-flash-game-private-server-860368/

I KNEW it was possible! HA HA HA to whats-her-name! So, All we pandas need to do now is figure out how to contact the person who was making the server. It wasn't even that long ago! (october 7th!!!!)

There is hope.

Then again, maybe not. Henry might be so unkind as to delete everything.... all the game files... all the pandas....

Let's hope not.

From Misty :-)

P.S. I forgot to mention! I might be able to run a TINY 1-10 panda server for about an hour a day! I just need the pandanda files and Henry's permission >.<

P.P.S. This blog won't close after PD closes. We might blog about all the other games instead, and Orbs is still being written.

Elite "contest" won lol

If you got first, I will send you the code!

I also was wondering what can we do to keep pandanda together. Henry hasn't replied to me, so he probably isn't going to let us SAVE pandanda. So, this is my new idea!

We can set up a blog with a list of as many pandas we can find, and what game they are going to play/their website/chat box or whatever! Idk if it will work though.

where to now.

So, the shock is over for me at least.

For those of us who have lots of friends on pandanda, we will just go to the same virtual world. The popular choices are:
  • Moshi Monsters (my user: moshimistral) Euastce (forgot the numbers) will play this.
  • MovieStarPlanet (my user: Mistral) cutecandy13 and jar12 will play this.
  • GardenPartyWorld (my user: Mistysun) RanRan will play this.
  • Club Penguin. (my user: Grommete) Most other pandas will play this.
Moshi Monsters has message boards to chat. I suggest it for 8-14 year olds.
Club penguin is full of preps pookies and vampires. You will see what I mean. I suggest it for 7-14 year olds.
Garden party world has trading items, etc. Very nice graphics. I suggest it for 5-13 year olds.
MovieStarPlanet is a cool game with people avatars. Open chat if you say you are 14+. I suggest it for 10+ year olds.

Or, we still have the option of begging henry to help us make 1 server be open 1-2 hours a day. (see previous post) I believe we can do this. You might not, but I do -_- think about practical ways you could help this idea. We would need a computer to run the server, a domain name, some money, a coder, a mod, and helpers.

From Misty :-)

P.S. Want a free elite code? I have one henry gave me when this blog opened. First person to comment with their panda name will get it. xD

I can hardly type this because im shaking too much.

Pandanda. Is. Closing. *half faints irl* This is the worst thing in the world. Pandanda has been a huge part of my life for almost 3 years.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I opened my computer, and as usual, pandanda was the first site i went to. I had to stop myself from screaming.

Ok, so we cant do anything about this.

Nobody on pd cares. Everyone is happy.

There is something wrong about this.

Does anyone have an idea? Can the pandanda members help? Does anyone have a spare computer to run a small server on? The fact is, some people think pd won't close. Oh it will. I just feel sorry for the pandas that brought 1 year membership recently >.<

Ok, so if we had 1 server running on a computer, there are heaps of pandas on pandanda that can code. there are heaps that can do graphics. there are heaps that can be mods. But no. Henry won't listen.

:'( :'( :'(

I will miss everyone! Everyone has been such great friends! And such great enemies too, Lol.

From Misty :-(

Buy Membership buttons gone?

Ok, So I'm seriously confused. Andeecandee told me the option to buy membership was gone, so of course I went to the membership page to investigate. But every single way of buying membership is gone, apart from gift codes and panda gold.

So, what on earth is happening? Here is what I think:

  1. Pandanda might have removed it on purpose. Idk why. Maybe it's so pandas will buy panda gold membership instead of real membership. (and make us pay a LOT more O.O) It would explain why there are so many non member items in the catalog/Halloween fest. This would be awesome, because it would mean pandanda would be like it's in beta again! But it's not too likely because pandanda needs money to run.
  2. It's a glitch. Probably this is the most likely theory. But I don't know why we can't buy gift codes anymore. I guess I will have to tell Henry.
  3. There is going to be a new membership page and pandanda is in the process of updating it. Not likely.

Halloween party... REVIEW!

Ok, so I completely forgot to do the this is how to get prizes post, so let's do something different! This is not going to be a "this is where the prizes are" post, this is an actual review of the party.

So, let's start with the decorations. I personally love the dark sky.... the pumpkins everywhere... the black and orange chat bubbles...
The decorations: 9/10.

Now for almost everyone's favourite part, the prizes!

So, these are INCREDIBLE prizes! Not just because I suggested the cat ears & nose, but because there are new items! Ok, I'm not too pleased the black paint is non member this year, (It used to be you could wear it when you were just about to lose your membership, and so when you lost your member people would know you were a member) but it's awesome they brought it back.

Although, the place the hidden prize is hidden this year also was the place the pumpkin head was hidden in 2009.
click the candle twice to get your prize. I already got the prize so I can't show you sorry.
So, for the prizes this year I give pandanda an 8 1⁄₂ out of 10.

Ok, So what else can we review. Ok, let's look at the catalog!

WOW, I LOVE the new walls! The lamps are nice too.
10/10 for the catalog.

so, 27 and a 1/2 out of 30! Pretty good!

Lol.

New Catalog!

YAYAYAYAYAYAY! Ok I should stop getting excited. I hope you got your beta glasses in time, because... Well... Have a look at the new catalog!
Sorry if I clicked too fast! They brought back pink and white scarfs! And white jackets and and... Omg, MORE SCARFS!

But, there is only 1 new item in the whole catalog :-( It's a pretty cool 1 item though, lol :-)

I'm going to go shopping now, Cya!

New zing prize.... and more....

Ok so, the new zing prize is a background. Yup. So log onto pandanda and have a look.

Also! I remembered I have an elite code just sitting waiting to be used, so we need to GIVE IT AWAY!

But how? I can't decide! Should we have a party? Or a contest? Or should we just give it randomly to somebody who comments? PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE! Seriously! Post a comment on how I should give the code away! (please)

Btw, Jar is not the owner of this blog. Blu and I are. Jar posts the henry's blog posts, I do zing prizes and other stuff, and Blu does orbs, and anything else that I haven't done.

Ok, that's all I can think of to post right now.

Follow the arrow contest!

Last Chance to Enter Contest!

Hi Friends!

The deadline for submitting your entry in the Follow That Arrow Contest is just a few hours away! Only entries received by 11:59pm Pacific Time (Pandanda Time) today, September 23rd, will be eligible to win. I will announce the winners here in my Blog this Wednesday, September 26th. Good luck to everyone who entered!

Be on the lookout for Zing Ballyhoo on Monday. He is on his way to Pandanda, and is really looking forward to seeing everyone again! I'm sure Questy will enjoy having Zing's company for a few weeks at Treehouse Lobby.

Party on, Pandas!

Get Ready for Zing.

Get Ready For Zing Ballyhoo!

Wow, with all the excitement over the Follow That Arrow Contest, I almost forgot about another exciting Pandanda event - Zing Ballyhoo is coming back to Pandanda!

That's right, Zing will be back in Pandanda on Monday, September 24th. He will set up his blue and gold tent at Treehouse Lobby, and will scatter his Golden Tickets all over Pandanda land. Then he will wait for you to collect 10 Golden Tickets to exchange for his cool, super-secret prizes! I can't wait!

Zing's return isn't the only awesome thing happening next week. There is also a Pandanda Game Day on Saturday, September 29th. On Game Day you can win double coins for all multi-player games you play that day. And you also have the chance to win up to 250 Panda Gold from Moderators during special games of Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill. I'll have more information about Game Day for you later in the week!

You still have until 11:59pm Pandanda Time on Sunday, September 23rd to send your Follow That Arrow Contest entry to contest@pandanda.com. You can read my post from yesterday if you need more information about the contest.

A few players have been confused about where to send their entry. contest@pandanda.com is not a website that you go to - it is an email address. You cannot send your entry from your Account Management page. To send your entry, you must open your email program and start a new email with contest@pandanda.com in the "TO" field. Then just type your Panda name and the answers for all 10 arrows in the message of the email, and send it to us!

I will announce all 6 contest winners here in my Blog on Wednesday, September 26th. I do already know who one winner is - the player we received the first correct entry from. But I'm keeping that a secret until Wednesday!

Party on, Pandas!
